RSL provides an arresting flooring system for the British Transport Police
Specialist resin flooring manufacturer, Resin Surfaces Limited (RSL), has supplied its industry leading products for a full refurbishment of custody suites at the British Transport Police’s main Liverpool station.
Due to the purpose of the installation, the custody suites required a hardwearing floor surface that could be applied quickly and easily, and offer a long term, easy to maintain and clean system. The project had to be completed in the shortest time possible.
Datum Industrial Flooring were appointed to remove multiple layers of defective ceramic tiles from the areas, and provide a fast curing, pumped screed under layer. This was then finished with Resin Surfaces Limited Resuscreed Quartz system, a decorative epoxy resin floor screed designed to produce a hard-wearing, attractive, impervious sealed surface. The finish was laid in two separate colours, to highlight different areas and coving on all perimeter walls was installed to provide a hygienic system. A product called Resupen WB Matt Clear was applied as a finishing coat to the finished floor to provide a Matt finish. Resupen WB Matt Clear also has high scratch and durability features which all add to the aesthetic look and life span of the floor areas.
